Divorce is never easy, but Robert made a not-so-good situation feel manageable, clear, and surprisingly positive. From day one, he treated me like a true partner in the process. We worked together seamlessly, and he was always available whenever I needed to speak or had questions — never rushed, always patient, and consistently supportive. Compare to the rest of attorneys only wants your retainer, so they can bill you even nothing could be done. shady lawyers will make up things so they can bill you. shady lawyers take your money, do nothing, run with your money. Let me just start off by saying if you don’t obtain Bob cohen as your divorce lawyer you are sooo doing it all WRONG!!!! Bob takes the unknown out of the divorce process and approaches it head on while explaining the progress allowing the client to feel less overwhelmed. Bob Cohen is amazing. He has a wonderful ability to be aggressive and negotiate at the same time - and he manages to do so with humor and charm. I had an awful 4 year long divorce and ended up losing half my kids and spending a lot of money on a lawyer to help me lose! Then my ex took me back to court because I moved although it was legal according to our divorce. I hired a different lawyer who also seemed to be losing - again! Then I hired Bob. He worked magic. Robert A. Cohen, "Bob", was recommended by someone that I knew and trusted. I was 8 months into my divorce, on my second lawyer and felt that the legal system was unfair and had a lack of faith in lawyers. Right away I knew Bob was the REAL DEAL. It is difficult to include and explain all the good things that Liz did for me during this trying time in my life ,so I will do my best and start from the top .This was a nasty divorce and a lot of underhanded things took place and there were lines crossed that I would never cross to get what I wanted .So from the start the deck was stacked against me in many ways. I didn't want a free consultation.What I wanted was the truth and the facts, that is exactly what I got ! Truly I had a good feeling before I even met Liz that there was no other lawyer for me and after the consult that was all confirmed in my mind and heart .Actually I had to end the consultation because Liz never tried to end it and it was the end of the day when everyone wants to go home ,she listened to all I had to say ,answered all my questions and put me at ease (which is something she would do on many,many occasions when I would call or need to see her ) I always hung up the phone or left her office feeling confident and good ! And the consultation fee was deducted off the retainer fee .So it was a no lose situation,even if it was a separate fee it still would have been worth it ! I knew from the start that the battle I was fighting would require a female attorney and I got the best as far as I'm concerned, 5 STAR for sure . Liz knew exactly what to do , how to proceed ,what law guardian she wanted to represent my daughter and how to handle me, my anger and frustration too .She was extremely professional ,polite , friendly and very down to earth ,and I will say the same for her assistant and everyone from the 1st person you would see when you entered the office to the most senior partners . Bob Cohen made my divorce feel nearly effortless for me & if your here looking for a divorce attorney that may seem incomprehensible but it's a fact. He made it possible for me to focus on what was important and trust all the rest was being taken care of by him. First off, his assistant Denise is great but Bob was directly accessible to me which was important. He's also honest and was helpful in my decisions on what to fight for and what to let go of and those things I wanted to hold onto, Bob Cohen made sure I got them in the end. As I reflected recently on a past divorce, I couldn't be any happier that I chose Liz and her firm to represent me for a divorce involving custody issues. During a divorce, many lawyers are quick to exploit your emotions with unnecessary work that only increases their bills. Not Liz. She is a calming voice of rational thought, and only escalates matters if/when they are needed. I would call very upset and, rather than suggest crazy legal action, she would help put my concerns at ease and keep me focused on what's really important. In the end, I received a better settlement that I had hoped for, including custody. I am so thankful I was referred to her firm, and that she was the one assigned to my case. I would recommend her for anyone going through the unfortunate process of divorce. My one tip: Don't get fooled by law firms that charge cheaper hourly fees. I had a little sticker shock when it came to the firm's fees. But in the end, they didn't pad their bills with ridiculous letters and motions like my ex's lawyer did (that lawyer charged my ex probably 3x what I paid).

Bob Cohen was my divorce attorney after a 28 year marriage. When I went to him I was petrified about something so foreign to me and mostly choosing the right attorney. The death of a marriage whether it was good or bad is so painful and the development overwhelming. Do your homework in choosing your lawyer but with the utmost sincerity I feel by choosing Bob you will be in such good hands. Once we got started I felt protected and at ease having him in my corner. He knows his field and he knows people, he will not sugar coat things but will really look at all angles and will consult with you about all the specifics to get the best end results. He has heart but his strategy, knowledge and seriousness makes him great at playing hard ball when he has to. Just on a side note a lot of emotions make people seek revenge or maybe the opposite feel like they want to give it all up and as a result it ends up costing you more pain and money. If you do choose Bob he will be fair with you and not drag things on but you really have to hear his advice on what he feels he can accomplish and what the ramifications will be. If you become a team you will find that his forthrightness will make the unfortunate experience manageable. Even at the end my x conceded and respected his defense. He is simply one of the best. The best deal is when no one is happy. I wasn’t thrilled with the deal but my now ex-wife was not happy. Thus making me happy knowing I got a good deal. Liz Diesa did a great job keeping it out of court, despite other side being very aggressive, unfair, and making false claims, After 4 attempts she finally got a deal settled and I am more than a weekend Dad. 50/50!!! It’s been 2 years, I still email her every now and then for questions and she responds within a week, which is acceptable considering it is non emergent and my case is over. They Also had fair billing, expensive but she worked with me.
