How do I find the right attorney ?

Under New York State law, "property" can include items that only an experienced matrimonial attorney will know how to identify and value. Most of our clients are referred either by attorneys who do not practice matrimonial law or our current or former clients. How much will it cost ?
Almost all matrimonial attorneys, including TABAT, COHEN & BLUM, LLP charge hourly rates for legal services. An advance retainer payment is required. The total cost generally depends upon the amount of time necessary to resolve the issues, as well as the need for experts to value marital property and assist in custody determinations. All questions regarding legal fees and expenses are addressed during the initial consultation.
